Basket Art Guild (Decatur, IL)
The Basket Art Guild has been an active basket weaving guild for more than thirty years and has a thriving membership. The Guild meets bi-monthly; on Sunday afternoons from 1-4 p.m. (sometimes more frequently) where members and others lead a weave or related art project. Meetings are open to all basket weavers. For members only the guild hosts at least two weekend workshops per year with well-known convention level teachers. Meetings and workshops are held at Bonnie Rideout’s business location (Bonnie’s Baskets) in Decatur, IL. Membership fee is $20/year. Contact for more information.

Basket Buddies (Raymore, MO)
The guild meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. at Raymore Christian Church. 500 Peace Dr., in Raymore, MO. Contact for information about upcoming meetings or joining the email list for notifications.

Dreamweavers Circle (Washington, MO)
The guild meets Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 213 MacArthur, Washington, MO 63068. New weavers are always welcome. Contact for more information.

Independence Weavers Guild (Independence, MO)
The Independence Weavers meet the second Saturday a month from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 613 South Main Street, Independence, MO. Each month an email with the project’s description, costs and meeting date/time is sent to the group to sign up by a given deadline. Weavers are to bring non-perishable foods for the church’s food pantry as appreciation for use of their Fellowship Hall. Weavers are also to bring a food item to share with the other weavers. There is no membership fee.

Kansas Sunflower Basket Weaving Guild (Eudora, KS)
The Kansas Sunflower Basket Weaving Guild meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month, except December; from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the Eudora Community Center, 1630 Elm Street, Eudora, Kansas. Annual membership fee is $15.00 for a January through December membership year. The purpose of the guild is to promote friendships and fellowship while learning to weave and improving skills. Ozark Mountain Weavers (Springfield, MO)
The guild normally meets the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Southside Senior Center, 2215 S. Fremont, Springfield, MO. Contact for more information.

The guild meets the 3rd Monday of each month at the Eldred Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Contact for more information.

Southside Weavers (St. Louis, MO)
The guild meets the 3rd Monday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at St. Louis Basket Supply, 11420 Gravois Rd., St. Louis, MO. Visitors and new members are welcome. Dues are $20 per year. Most months there is a planned program, but you are free to do open weave.

Weaving Fellowship (Florissant, MO)
The guild meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Church of the Master UCC, 1325 Paddock Dr., Florissant, MO. Dues are $10 per year. Visitors and newcomers are welcome.

Wild West Weavers (St. Louis - West County)
The guild meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Willows at Brooking Park, 211 S. Woods Mill, Chesterfield, MO. Dues are $10 per year. Visitors and new members welcome. Usually a basket is chosen to weave, but open weave is also encouraged. The guild supports the Circle of Concern. Contact for more information.

Become an Affiliated Guild

Local basket weaving guilds with three (3) or more members and with purpose consistent with the Missouri Basketweavers Guild may apply for affiliation. Application should be submitted to the guild president. Application may include a guild roster showing member names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, officers, date and location of meetings and copy of the bylaws (if applicable). Local guilds approved for affiliation are officially chartered at the annual convention general business meeting.
